Chrismousse's mistake for the 1-0
- The performance, Beggen showed was simply a disaster and the hosts could even be glad not to have lost by a much higher score. Kayl-Tétange were dominating over the complete 90 minutes and Beggen had not a single shot on target until about 15 minutes from the end. The guests had their first attempts already after 3', when a first strike hit the crossbar and the second attempt was superbly saved by Chrismousse. But Beggen's goalie was also at the origin of the guests lead: in the 13th minute, he was about to catch a very weak cross but was too slow and Da Silva headed for the 1-0. After 28', Arroio added Kayl-Tétange's second, when the Beggen defence left him all alone and were also unable to intercept a cross from the left. After the break, it was the same kind of play. Within 3 minutes (63' and 65') they hit the woodwork twice again. Only after Jos Steffen brought on Diagné and Schlesser, Beggen's offensive play started to work, without being successful anyway. The first one of both served Lazaar well on the right, but his shot was not good enough and went wide. Vieira had Beggen's second attempt, but missed the goal, too (82nd) and a minute later, Schlesser served Troncao well, but the visitors goalie intercepted just in time. Frustrated, Spencer was sent off during injury time for an elbow check. Although clearly superior to Beggen, the guests thought it was necessary to dive and cheat at every given situation, this was simply poor! Overall, Beggen showed a festival of incomplete passing, technical weaknesses and especially not the needed will to grab any points in this important game. With a few more performances of this kind, Beggen will get into serious trouble – this was a shame and not the way fans want a team to play at all!
