Wednesday, 28 July 2010 - The gaps in class of this game were quite obvious, but nevertheless, FC Avenir showed a good fight. Although there was less space up front and therefore less attempts than at the two previous 0-3 defeats, the final score was to become a better one. Fola's opener was scored after 17', when they had a beautiful cross from the far right over to the left, which brought a striker in a perfect position to score, which he did in the end. Dallevedove, Di Gregorio and co. brought Beggen's midfield in trouble, which made it almost impossible for the hosts to come through to the danger zone. After the break, things looked better for Beggen. Esch still were on control, but at least Denigro, Lazaar and Co. tried to set a few easing attacks, which most of the time were finished just near the box. For Fola, a few good attempts were not precise enough so that they missed the target on 2 or 3 occasions. This made hope return at Beggen, to still be able to find a lucky equalizer. But these hopes were buried after 85', when Fola scored from the right edge of the penalty area after the Beggen defense was simply too late to intercept this nice strike. Was to be mentionned was the return of Greg Molitor, who managed to keep the defense a little safer.
